About The Position

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the overall integrity and organization of the resident’s medical records.

Requirements

  • Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices & computer skills preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Records Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track Provider visits to ensure alternating schedule per regulation.
  • Track annual History and Physicals and notify physicians when due.
  • Maintain a Triple Check binder for monthly meetings.
  • Update ABAQIS weekly for all admissions/discharges.
  • Track all facility rental equipment & assure equipment is returned to outside vendors.
  • Prepare monthly billing for oxygen and resident vaccines (Influenza, Pneumovax and Prevnar 13).
  • Review records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Process admission and discharge documents.
