About The Position

Are you an experienced Medical Records Coordinator with a desire to impact the world for Jesus? The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization in Richmond, VA, is accepting ongoing applications for a Medical Records Coordinator! Location: Rockville, VA Headquarters Rate: Commensurate with experience + great benefits Responsibilities: Utilize the EHR system and related software to process and document applicants and/or patients for medical clearance. Manage incoming messages, review and upload medical documentation, and route charts to the appropriate medical department staff. Coordinate with the medical department throughout the clearance process to ensure timely communication and a seamless applicant experience. Collaborate with medical and cross-functional teams to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. Participate in and contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned. Additional duties of maintaining strict HIPAA compliance, handling confidential patient information, and providing professional, courteous communication to applicants Requirements: Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in healthcare administration, records management, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrates professionalism and teamwork in all interactions. Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Workday, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
