As the Medical Records Assistant you will be responsible for all activates of the Medical Records Department, including, but not limited to: processing requests for release of information, transcription of patient record materials, and general maintenance of patient records. Please note this is a full-time, on-site role based out of Wickenburg, AZ. Please only apply if this location and commute work for you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required
  • Experience with medical records industry standards and medical / clinical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Records Analysis / Maintenance Analyze data to ensure records meet regulatory and company standards/ policies / procedures, protocols, as well as industry best practices.
  • Assemble records / data in established format in a manner consistent with laws, regulations, and company policy.
  • Release of Information / Privacy Process release of information in a manner consistent with security and confidentiality laws, regulations and company policy.
  • Ability to converse in English with others to give, take and process information, extensive use of telephone.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, multi-task, coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Communicate with other staff to relay concerns and observations involving patient safety.
