Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary education or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Office experience preferred, in a medical or healthcare setting a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with EHR/EMR systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, providers, and external partners.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sending and receiving of clinical documents through the EHR system to meet regulatory standards.
  • Process incoming and outgoing electronic records, including orders, Plans of Care, Discharge Summaries, and Certifications of Terminal Illness.
  • Scan and upload key documents into patient records accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all medical records in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate chart storage and maintain department documentation manuals.
  • Manage office supply orders and maintain department inventory.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth and efficient departmental operations.
