About The Position

Medical Receptionist – Full Time (30–40 Hours) A busy Social Services / Behavioral Health Agency is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to manage front desk operations. This position requires prior experience in a medical or behavioral health office setting and the ability to handle a high-volume front desk environment. Schedule Monday–Friday within the agency’s operating hours of 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM (30–40 hours per week).

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Front Desk Receptionist in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
  • Experience handling multiple phone lines in a busy office
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Professional appearance and a friendly, professional phone demeanor
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Only candidates with relevant medical front desk experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a multi-line phone system, answer incoming calls, and route calls appropriately
  • Greet patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
  • Send appointment reminders and maintain accurate calendars
  • Collect patient copays and insurance information as directed
  • Maintain and organize billing and patient documentation
  • Provide front desk administrative support and perform clerical duties as needed
  • Use MS Office, email, and electronic medical record systems (EMR) efficiently
