About The Position

AFC Urgent Care Rockville is seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team! Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
Basic computer knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Previous medical clerical experience beneficial
Familiar with medical terminology
Bilingual beneficial

Responsibilities

Prepare the clinic for opening each day
Greet patients, provide patients with initial paperwork and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards
Register patients, update patient records, verify insurance accurately and timely, and check patients out
Determine, collect, and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues
Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests
Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports
Complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports
Maintain complete and accurate documentation
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
