About The Position

Park Nicollet is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their Eye Department Frontline team. This role encompasses responsibilities in both a Call Center and a Front Desk setting. In the Call Center, the primary duty involves rapidly and accurately answering and responding to incoming telephone calls from patients and/or employer groups, adhering to department-specific agent expectations and guidelines. At the Front Desk, the role focuses on greeting patients, collecting co-pays, scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals, and performing departmental clerical duties. Both aspects of the role require providing quality service through timely and courteous assistance to patients and employer groups, while maintaining patient confidentiality. Employees are expected to deliver excellent customer service, complete tasks professionally and timely, support ongoing process improvement, identify themselves and their department in phone interactions, accept additional related tasks, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. The department consists of 3 clinicians, seeing approximately 20-40 diverse patients daily, ranging from all ages. The Medical Receptionist will be cross-trained to assist in Primary and Specialty Care. The team is described as friendly, engaged, and participates in fun events throughout the year, such as holiday parties and summer picnics.

Requirements

  • 6 months related experience
  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
  • Must be proficient in the operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine
