About The Position

The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice. This is an intermediate level position responsible for all aspects of front office duties assigned by a clinic. The role requires excellent customer service skills, discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner, and an articulate phone voice. Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and the general public.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting
  • Customer service experience
  • Degree or relevant Certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience
