About The Position

GC Associates requires a Program Administrator to provide Deployment Health Assessment program administrative services in support of Medical Readiness Clinic Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor. Program Administration support shall include, but is not limited to, administrative oversight for the purpose of tracking patient progress, referrals and reporting outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Healthcare Management related field. Master's Degree or equivalent mid-level management experience.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers; American Heart Association Health care Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer; or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and reports Periodic Health assessment (PHA) & Individual Medical Readiness status on a regular basis, providing leaders the ability to ensure a healthy and fit fighting force ready to deploy.
  • In coordination with the Defense Health Agency, ensure that the medical readiness of active duty staff of the command, individual service members in the Active Component (AC), Reserved Component (RC), or assigned to a Defense Agency or DoD Field Activity, is assessed and documented during each health assessment and primary care visit in an MTF or DTF. Additionally, access to Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) services will be measured to validate support to the total force.
  • Track the key Individual Medical Readiness elements across their respective Military Services and provide the Commanding Officer and other operational commanders, military departments, and service headquarters within the Region the ability to continuously monitor their military personnel for medical readiness and deployability status.
  • Ensure that commanders and supervisors will have access to IMR data to identify individual and cohort availability for contingency sourcing and are responsible for verifying assigned personnel to accomplish IMR requirements.
  • Ensure that metrics and goals are followed and met as established by higher authority.
  • Develop a service-specific metrics to enhance internal management and assessment of medical readiness status.
  • Verify that with each DoD PHA, the service member understands the requirement to report significant health information to their chain of command and facilitate disclosure of significant health information by any non-DoD healthcare provider to a MHS DoD healthcare provider, and ensure compliance with such. All service members shall/will disclose to their MHS DoD healthcare provider and to their command all medical encounters (including encounters for physical, dental, and mental/behavioral health) with a non-DoD healthcare provider that would directly impact the Service member's IMR status and will provide releases of information as necessary to facilitate receipt of medical documents from such encounters for entry into their military medical record.
  • Provide quarterly reports to the DHA IMR Program Manager summarizing the IMR status of all Service members of the ACs and RCs.
  • Validates and develops processes to ensure the integration and continuity of/between MRC providers. Demonstrates awareness of and adherence to NHCH Deployment Health (DH)/Medical Readiness Clinic (MRC) department policies and procedures; carries out command policies; ensures required training surveys are completed; and may participate in development of departmental policies as appropriate. Follows all command directives with adherence to safety and legal requirements at the command and department levels with emphasis on those pertinent to the DH/MRC clinic and collaborates with staff and support activities to maintain a safe and orderly clinic environment.
  • Acts as a single point of contact and resource for the Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics (ANAM) program. Defines steady state testing requirements, anticipates and addresses all surge team issues (temporary increase in manpower requirements) associated with pre-deployment, post- deployment testing, and all medical readiness exams to include but not limited to; Periodic Health Assessment (PHA), overseas screening, and special duties screenings. Links DHC, Behavioral Health and Mental Health resources to maximize and monitor/advise productivity. Briefs department head and director on a frequent basis of continuing and accomplished tasks.
  • Develops and implement standard Operating Procedures for the program. Conducts quarterly productivity and workload analysis of DHC/MRC and reports findings to DGR as requested.
  • Maintain Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Inspector General (MEDIG) program compliance. Monitors and updates DHA MEDIG Assessment materials as required.
  • Maintains Departmental training records for DHC/MRC staff ensuring compliance with command and departmental required training.
  • Ensures Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics ANAM equipment is properly functioning. Maintains communication with Neurocognitive Assessment Branch (NCAB) regarding equipment and training needs.
