Title: Medical Practice Patient Representative - Behavioral Health - Carmel, NY - Part time 32 hours 4-days a week between the hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
- Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
- Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication � both verbally and via the EMR system
- Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
- Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
- Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
- Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
- Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
- Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintains and Models the Organization�s values.
- Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
