We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Medical Oncology team. Position Overview: As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Medical Oncology department, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of patients with cancer. You will work alongside oncologists and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Requirements

  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification and state licensure.
  • Experience in oncology or similar clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate patient care approach and commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
  • Collaborate with oncologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer chemotherapy and other oncology therapies as required.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families about cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
