Position Overview: As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Medical Oncology department, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of patients with cancer. You will work alongside oncologists and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification and state licensure.
- Experience in oncology or similar clinical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate patient care approach and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Collaborate with oncologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncology therapies as required.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families about cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
