About The Position

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Medical Office Specialist for our Menifee location. This position is responsible for overall functioning of the medical office. Duties include but not limited to: Maintains a cordial and courteous relationship with patients. Always greets patients with a smile. Schedule, cancel and reschedule patient visits based on established guidelines. Check in / check out process. Assists providers to stay on schedule. Alerts patients of delays. Insurance authorizations. Ensures that all patient charts are prepared with the utmost accuracy. Reviews patient registration forms for accuracy. Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment. Work schedule is Monday 11:30a, - , Sat/Sun 8:45am - 5:00pm. Schedule may change based on business needs. Must attend mandatory meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year administrative medical office experience required.
  • Medical Terminology and basic mathematical calculations, basic computer knowledge required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Profecient in using office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system.
  • Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment.
  • May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
  • Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical clinic functions (scheduling, billing, insurance verifications and authorizations, ICD9 and CPT4 coding, patient procedures, medical records) preferred
