About The Position

We are hiring a full time Medical Office Specialist for our Barry Road Orthopedic Clinic. Position will primarily sit at our North Barry Road location but may travel to our Platte City location to cover as needed. This administrative position performs a variety of functions in the medical office involving general duties including but not limited to answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or Epic, greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments, and collecting patient co-payments. Makes appointment reminder calls, verifies insurance and other patient data is accurate, and scanning and or uploading patient information to patient's electronic chart. Able to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including medical records, scheduling insurance verification patient referrals etc. and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned. Will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct. Strong Customer service and teamwork skills are a must.
