Saint Luke’s Endocrinology and Diabetes Clinic in Kansas City is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join our team. You will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances , while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct. We are seeking individuals who are a ble to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including : medical records , scheduling , insurance verification , patient referrals , etc. and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned. Requirements
- Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
- Ability to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including : medical records , scheduling , insurance verification , patient referrals , etc.
- Ability to float between multiple locations as assigned
Responsibilities
- Answers the telephone
- Communicates messages through email or Epic
- Greets, registers, and schedules patient appointments
- Collects patient copayments
- Makes appointment reminder calls
- Verifies insurance and other patient data is accurate
- Scans and / or uploads patient information to patients electronic chart
- Referrals - Transcribe, research, verify authorization as needed, schedule
- Other duties as assigned
