Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Skill in working with an EMR system, athenaPractice preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Skill with working with multi-line telephone system.
  • Minimum of 1 year of centralized scheduling in a medical office or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Cardiology terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments.
  • Documents all vital information pertaining to the appointment as necessary.
  • Condenses physician's schedules as needed.
  • Directs incoming calls to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Works and completes various tasks (flags, registration, referrals, voice mails etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of position.
