About The Position

About Us: The Emerge Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by empowering children with autism and individuals with communication challenges to achieve independence through innovative and family-centered therapies. Position Overview: We are seeking a Medical Office Receptionist to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our therapy services. The Medical Office Receptionist will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of our business office, ensuring efficient administrative processes, and facilitating a welcoming environment for our patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in a related field is a plus).
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records systems.
• Compassion and dedication to serving the community.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details.
• Manage patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Handle incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff.
• Assist with billing and insurance claims processing.
• Coordinate with therapeutic staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Ensure accuracy in data entry and documentation for billing and medical records.
• Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
• Assist in other administrative tasks as needed.
