About The Position

Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. The Medical Materiel Specialist (MMS) II shall include, but are not limited to, general warehousing tasks, customer support, requisition, shipping, receiving, building medical kits, inventory management, ordering, assemblage management, and operation of various materials handling equipment (MHE), Quality Assurance (QA) and cargo preparation and deployment, to include medical controlled items stored in a secure location, and utilizing, updating DoD MMIS/DMLSS records. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Manage the procurement of medical supplies and equipment. · Ensure all assets in medical WRM assemblages/kits are accounted for and managed. · Lead management of deferred procurement programs. · Ensure all assigned WRM assemblages are inventoried. · Ensure all assigned WRM assemblages are stored appropriately. · Develop activation checklists for logistics activities. · Coordinating logistics activities with other base organizations, units, and government agencies, ensuring the overall readiness and availability of assigned ECMM to include general medical materiel management and warehouse activities. · Conduct monthly reviews, and provide monthly reports to the COR, of SLEP and DMLSS inventory records to ensure accuracy and program compliance. · Manage shelf-life extension program (SLEP) and serve as SLEP monitor, if required. · Maintain WRM, SLEP, MC-CBRN etc. continuity files IAW policy & regulations. · Identify and determine proper storage locations (refer, hazmat, flam, etc.) · Brief medical readiness committee on materiel status of all assigned contingency projects. · Conduct self-inspections and maintain support agreements. · Demonstrate use of PPE. · Package and ship temperature sensitive materiel. · Verify incoming material for correctness in qty, condition etc. · Research and resolve shipment discrepancies. · Identify controlled item markings, store and secure in · Perform controlled item inventories. · Adherent to controlled management program policy and guidance. · Update MMIS with QA data of new or incorrect data. · Retrieve Hazardous alerts and recalls, inspect storage locations for effected materiel, document actions, update MMIS/DMLSS · and perform dispositions actions. · Provide customer support. · Assist in building kits & assemblages. · Utilize Allowance Standard management system (ASMS) · Identify Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) · Attain certification/license to drive/operate materiel handling equipment (MHE). · Attain cargo certification to palletize and pack medical items and segregate special handling according to regulations. · Develop a WRM acquisition plan in advance of funding allocation. · Work independently at single-location sites. · Inter and intra state travel 25-50%. · Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher OR eight (8) years of medical logistics experience with at least six (6) years of specialized medical materiel management experience required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of medical logistics field experience, including specialized experience in Ordering, receiving, and customer support.
  • Inventory and assemblage (kit) management.
  • Warehousing operations and use of material handling equipment
  • Experience supporting medical logistics operations within a healthcare or healthcare support environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using DoD Medical Materiel Information Systems (MMIS) to process medical materiel transactions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.
  • Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) preferred.
  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense preferred.

Responsibilities
