This position will serve as a Supply Technician providing operations support pertaining to medical supply items. The duties will include forward logistics, receiving, stocking, selecting, and storing medical supply items, supply turn-in, and medical group vehicle care taking. This includes receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, pick-up and delivery of general or specialized bulk materials and equipment. Main responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: Process customer orders, stock, and re-supply medical logistics items. Provide forward logistics support to warehouse personnel as needed. This includes assisting with the delivery of supplies, equipment, or furniture to customer accounts within the medical treatment facility. Coordinate scheduling and transportation requests for the turn-in of unserviceable medical equipment, supplies, and furniture. Assist with medical group vehicle maintenance scheduling, fuel requirements, daily/monthly vehicle inspections, and general inside/outside vehicle cleanliness to include washing and vacuum cleaning. Ensure completeness of prepared New Item Requests (NIR) and DMLSS generated New Item Requests (NIR). Research item availability and availability of substitutes against the Medical Master Catalog, Medical Logistics Standards Support (DMLSS), Electronic Catalogs (ECAT), Prime Vendor Databases and other mandatory sources. Ascertain for the government use the most economical or best value for acquisition mechanism. Coordinate with customers and procurement specialists to ensure product availability, available substitutes, and standardized products Maintain records and perform follow-ups on due-ins and input status of orders in DMLSS. Review and validate requirements for all medical material. Reviews documentation consistent with law, policy, and regulations. Coordinate and provide information for market research. Performs item inventories and pulls supplies previously processed for delivery to customers. Processes receipts of incoming shipments from all vendors ensuring accuracy and proper storage requirements are met. T Shall have driving privileges and be able to drive a 1.5 ton stake bed truck for the delivery of medical equipment, supplies and furniture. Shall be responsible for the coordination scheduling and transportation request for the turn-in of unserviceable medical equipment, supplies and furniture. Responsible for taking care of medical wing vehicle assets on a daily basis. This will include proper maintenance scheduling, fuel requirements, daily/monthly vehicle inspections and general inside/outside vehicle cleanliness to include washing and vacuum cleaning. Responsible for loading lot numbers into DMLSS as supply items are received to ensure proper tracking of hazardous materials within EESHO-MIS for the clinic.
