This position is contingent upon award. The primary function of the Medical Logistics Specialist is to oversee the utilization, quality and inventory levels of TMS material while applying best standards and practices in Supply Chain and Logistics. They provide regular logistics direction and support to all our medical facilities and lead the materials and logistics movement coordination, new hire training, material status tracking, and overall supply chain support. Coordinate procurement, receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals (as applicable), and medical equipment. Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations. Monitor usage trends and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstock. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies related to medical logistics and supply chain management. Work closely with clinical staff to understand supply needs and prioritize urgent or critical items. Manage vendor relationships, including ordering, tracking shipments, resolving discrepancies, and negotiating service issues as needed. Maintain accurate documentation for inventory, deliveries, audits, and regulatory reporting. Conduct routine inventory audits and reconcile variances. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of medical materials, including temperature-sensitive and controlled items (if applicable). Adhere to all safety, security, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and cost control. Manage cold chain logistics for temperature-sensitive medical products (e.g., vaccines, biologics, refrigerated medications), including monitoring, documentation, and corrective actions to ensure temperature integrity throughout storage and transport
