About The Position

Amentum is currently seeking a Logistician based in Forest Park, GA. This position will help support exploitation missions both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States). This position is responsible for the planning, acquisition, receiving, unpacking, inspecting, assembly, installation, dismantlement, re-packing, loading for shipment, and transportation of all materials for delivery to FXD and the forward deployed Forensic Exploitation Laboratories. Assist the customer with the shipment of potential medical or hazardous materials, including reagents used for forensic exploitation within the laboratories. Ensure all aspects of transportation and storage comply with DoD transportation regulations, directives, technical and doctrinal publications, policy, and instructions. Assist the customer with developing budget forecasts and justifications for the transportation of materials to input into the laboratories’ operational budget. Assist the customer in negotiating and updating Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with other commands and services. The Government customer will be the approval authority on all MOAs or agreements with external entities

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in logistics performing activities such as inventory management, distribution management, warehouse management, transportation, government property disposal, accountable property records management.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university but extensive and/or relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting logistics duties in accordance with CFR 49
  • Demonstrated experience in data management and performing data analysis of large logistical population of data.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support missions, systems, and/or programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in property management practices, to include advising customers on logistical requirements and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in the use of material handling equipment (MHE) such as, pallet jacks, forklifts, banding machines etc.
  • Able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. (Please note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Secret security clearance).
  • Must be able to obtain a US passport.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a medical assessment per customer requirements.
