Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field or graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or A categorical ASCP certification in a laboratory specialty/subspecialty as applicable to job responsibilities.
Must be MT or MLS (ASCP) certified or eligible.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality laboratory testing within trained and competency areas
Maintain strong technical skills and meet required turnaround times
Accurately document training, competencies, QC, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Follow established methodologies, procedures, and safety practices
Ensure precise patient and specimen identification and labeling
Complete required phlebotomy training (capillary and venous collections across all age groups)
Use laboratory computer systems effectively
Make sound independent decisions to support accurate patient care
Communicate clearly with leadership and healthcare team members
Participate in ongoing education, training, and mentoring of new staff
