About The Position

Medical Lab Technologist Summary Summary   Performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Manual Procedures, and Automated Procedures.   Responsibilities    Performs automated, semi-automated, or manual laboratory testing. Determines acceptability of specimens and reagents. Follows department approved standard operating procedures. Performs within established guidelines in a timely manner. Operates equipment and instrumentation necessary for testing. Evaluates specimens for acceptability and documents misidentified, mislabeled, and inappropriate specimens. Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience
  • Associate's Degree
  • Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire
