Work Shift Evening (United States of America) Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, Georgia is seeking a FT Medical Lab Tech. This role is under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Manager or Laboratory Director, permits the Medical Laboratory Technician to perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility and exercise independent judgment minimally, as competency is demonstrated. Accuracy: Maintains acceptable accuracy in-patient, quality assurance, proficiency and competency testing. Critical Thinking: Uses clinical/theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret and report lab data. Job Knowledge: Maintains current personal training, education and practice of policies and procedures. Productivity: Practices organizational skills for efficient of time, materials, cost and availability of lab data. Communication: Practices information monitoring, investigation, resolution and hand-off to team members. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates Medical Technology or Other / Certificate Medical Technology
  • MLT(AAB) - Medical Laboratory Technician or MLT(AMT) - Medical Laboratory Technician or MLT(ASCP) - Medical Laboratory Technician
  • For persons who possess the technician qualifications and have recently moved into the state or completed the academic and/or training requirements, they may be temporarily classified once as technicians for eighteen (18) months to afford them an opportunity to successfully complete an approved qualifying examination. within 1-1/2 Yrs Required
  • Minimum 1 year Laboratory experience
