Medical Interpreter, PT Day Shift, Maternal Care Center
About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Medical Interpreter for our Maternal Care Center who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Medical Interpreter you will: Provide language interpretation in various medical settings (i.e. admission, ER, behavioral health, labor and delivery, internal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, other specialty areas, outpatient, and more) Observe interpreter standards of practice such as maintaining professional boundaries, respecting patients' rights, and remaining neutral while supporting patient-provider relationship Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for hospital staff and patients Track interpretation services rendered Assist manager with administrative tasks, as needed
Requirements
- Trained and tested healthcare interpreter with at least one year of experience
Nice To Haves
- An Associate degree in a healthcare related field preferred
- Professional interpreting certification, such as Certified Medical Interpreter, preferred
Responsibilities
