About The Position

As a MICU RN , you will provide comprehensive, individualized care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Using the “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” model, you will act as a primary advocate for patients and families while independently managing complex treatments.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 3 years). Strong Med/Surg experience considered for those interested in critical care.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Licensure: Valid Florida RN license or Compact/Multistate license (must obtain FL license if relocating).
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire ACLS within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Advanced Monitoring: Perform high-frequency monitoring and procedures for critically ill patients, ensuring meticulous documentation.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with providers to create and deliver holistic treatment plans that promote recovery and stabilization.
• Patient & Family Education: Translate complex medical information to help patients and families understand conditions, medications, and potential side effects.
• Prevention & Advocacy: Teach disease prevention and lifestyle modifications to support long-term patient well-being.
• Quality Improvement: Contribute to evidence-based practices and initiatives that exceed unit quality measures.
