About The Position

Medical Imaging Tech III, Albany, NY Welcome to Albany Medical Center, providing excellent care to our community each day. We have an exciting opportunity for Medical Imaging Techs to join our team. An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team. This is a per diem position with a monthly requirement of 12 hours. This is an onsite position at the Guilderland EmUrgnetCare, with some travel required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license and current AART registration is required
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic x-ray procedures
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics necessary to safely perform x-ray exams
• Basic knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide routine diagnostic imaging procedures to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with consideration to cultural and developmental stages during the exam process
• Multi-tasking as a team player in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Properly identify and prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform diagnostic x-ray exams following established protocols and procedures for patient care and safety in an outpatient urgent care setting
• Accurately select the correct patient, anatomy and protocols to complete exam
• Confirm, schedule and log completed radiologic procedures in computer and site schedules
• Clean and maintain equipment and examination rooms at all times
• Directing patients to examination rooms
• Ensuring rooms are setup for efficient patient care
• Ordering and re-stocking of medical supplies
• Team support to medical providers and front desk
