About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the clinical care of patients with multi-system needs and diagnostic evaluations. It provides leadership, direction, and support for clinical services in the pursuit of quality outcomes, cost reduction, and high levels of patient, provider, and employee satisfaction. This position may also have responsibilities for other facility-specific patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or an Associate’s Degree with at least five (5) years of prior Director-level experience.
  • Active technical certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Two (2) years of Director-level experience in an imaging department or five (5)+ years of Manager-level experience in an imaging department.
  • Strong background in Imaging Services administration (Inpatient and Outpatient Imaging Services).
  • Demonstrated flexibility and service-oriented approach.
  • Skilled in problem analysis, project management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, and oral/written presentation.
  • Requires strong working knowledge of clinical area(s) of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or MBA.
  • Operational experience overseeing one or more of the following: Inpatient Radiology (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, General Radiography, Special Procedures) Outpatient Radiology (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, General Radiography, DEXA, Nuclear Medicine, PET- CT, Breast Center [Mammography, Ultrasound, Screening and Diagnostic]) PACS Administration Imaging Scheduling & Patient Access
  • Prior experience with Cerner/Oracle systems.
  • At least five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • BLS certification, national certification, and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs and monitors clinical care.
  • Provides advice, counsel, feedback and coordination to promote a collegiality between staff, providers and the leadership team.
  • Ensures that development of clinical care services leads to outcomes supportive of the facility and organization's strategic plan.
  • Design and implement processes to ensure regulatory and standards of safety are met and followed.
  • Develops and implements new programs to bring new business.
  • Provides direction for process improvement activities, including the establishment of performance measures to attain optimal clinical, operational, financial and satisfaction outcomes.
  • Directs the collection, analysis and presentation of data on utilization patterns and other program outcomes.
  • Directs personnel actions including recruiting, new hire actions, interviewing and selection of new staff,salary determinations, training, and personnel evaluations.
  • Developments goals and objectives in accordance with company standards.
  • Manages the financial and capital resources for services by monitoring operating revenue and expenses, establishing and maintaining cost control programs and developing and implementing new or revised programs and/or services.
  • Develops and implements strategies to work with all external customers to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
  • Responsible for the procurement of new equipment as well as oversees the design and construction for new or replaced equipment.
  • Develops and oversees the department budget in conjunction with corporate goals and objectives. This position is accountable for meeting annual budgetary goals.
  • Assesses patient satisfaction in areas of responsibility; sets a high standard for staff and leadership to improve patient satisfaction.
  • May lead other clinical service/product lines in various facilities.
  • Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
  • Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
