Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Clinical Integration Specialist to join our team! JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Integration Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining vital connections between diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and receiving entities such as electronic medical records systems. Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED minimum.
  • Experience: Prior experience with computer networking or medical imaging is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidate would have additional training in computer networking, medical imaging, or both.

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with how medical devices are connected to the associated networks.
  • Understand how that connection is provided from the hospital to the network.
  • Be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues or help provide updates when there are changes.
  • Maintain and administer PACS-related imaging connectivity by configuring and supporting DICOM workflows, managing Application Entity Titles (AETs), and ensuring accurate, secure transmission of medical images and data across all integrated systems.
  • Work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to understand how their devices use network connectivity and be a hospital resource to work with OEM teams on keeping critical pieces of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment’s connections active.
  • Be a resource with new equipment that requires connectivity to any system or network and help with installations, integrations and operations.
  • Provide education to providers needing remote access to systems to view or interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Work with other facility’s connectivity teams in order to promote the sharing of diagnostic information between IFCH and those affiliated facilities.
  • Be very aware of network security and the needs to protect these information pathways in a compliant and safe manner according to policies and rules of our hospitals.
  • Understand the complexities of proprietary data sharing and be a resource to IFCH staff as well as entities we are connected with or are trying to connect to in order to share diagnostic and therapeutic information.
  • Work with existing and new integrations from equipment at IFCH into the electronic medical record in appropriate ways according to each individual machine’s pathway and proprietary output.
  • Work with interpreting remote physicians to be able to receive diagnostic data from IFCH to their locations.
