About The Position
Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider. There is a midlevel provider who helps with patient flow, orders, etc. Hospital consults with call. MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions. Schedule/Availability Requirements: Schedule: M-F 8a-5p Start Date: Feb 16-20, POSSIBLE ONGOING TBD Facility Location: Redding, CA Setting: Hospital Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients . MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services . Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments . Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies . Required Procedures: EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion) Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 10 infusions RNs . Reason for Coverage: Shortage of providers
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
- Ineligible or not Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology - Dealbreaker
- EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
