About The Position

Our Dental Front Office Specialist is the welcoming face and voice of our practice! This role is all about creating a positive, professional first impression by warmly assisting patients both in person and over the phone. You ll play a key part in keeping our office running smoothly by expertly coordinating schedules and appointments, supporting an efficient workflow, and contributing to an exceptional patient experience every day. Schedule: Monday through Thursday (7a-5p)

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a Dental or Medical Front Office is highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis, insurance is preferred
  • In support of our mission statement, "Healthier Practices, Healthier Patients", we have adopted a tobacco-free environment and we do NOT hire tobacco and nicotine users, including the use of e-cigarettes/vaping.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all patients using scripts and office protocol, answer and manage all incoming calls.
  • Schedule patients for new/returning/follow-up appointments and provides all necessary information to prepare them for appointments and procedures. Insurance verification with carriers and patients.
  • Verify and update patient information, inform patients of policies, enter data into the system.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls, fill in cancellations and no-shows.
  • Verifies authorizations and accepts or transmits fax information for needed physician patient information
  • Collects co-payments at time of service, ensure proper billing.
  • Check fax/phone/voicemail/email consistently for updates.
