About The Position

ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida has been serving patients for 62 years, providing comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within one medical group. Patient care is their top concern, offering both diagnosis and rehabilitative services. The company is seeking a Medical Front Desk Representative for a full-time, Monday - Friday position at their Boca office. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with strong customer service skills. While prior medical front desk experience is preferred, it is not strictly required. The ideal candidate must be organized, multitasking-oriented, motivated, and capable of handling a high volume of patients, phone calls, and charts. They should be a self-starter, preferably with EMR and medical records, check-in and check-out experience, and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Audiology field.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
  • The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year previous experience in a medical practice.
  • Prior Medical front desk experience.
  • EMR and medical records, check in and check out experience.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior customer service to all patients and guests
  • Answer multi-line phones
  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
  • Insurance Verification
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
  • Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHR
  • Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
