The Medical Equipment Technician I is responsible for providing cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment, ensuring it functions properly according to manufacturer specifications. This includes performing operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services under the guidance of a qualified Biomedical Equipment Technician or supervisor. Agiliti's Equipment Value Management (EVM) framework helps hospitals reduce wasted spending by connecting medical equipment processes, offering services like Clinical Engineering, Onsite Equipment Management, and Rental Services. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
  • Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
  • A willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
  • The ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to obtain certain vaccinations, or provide proof of current vaccination status, based on customer and/or company requirements, including the COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices including medical beds, infusion pumps, patient monitoring equipment, etc.
  • Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
