About The Position

The Medical Equipment Support Coordinator plays a critical operational role in ensuring the readiness, reliability, and lifecycle management of clinical and diagnostic equipment across Prism Vision Group’s national ophthalmology network. This role may be on‑site or remote depending on location and business needs. The Coordinator supports the end‑to‑end medical equipment service ticketing process, including intake, triage, escalation management, vendor coordination, and communication with operations teams. This role serves as the liaison between clinical operations, the equipment service provider, OEM vendors, and internal supply chain partners. The position is also responsible for equipment requisitioning, purchasing workflow management, agreement administration, and end‑of‑life (EOL) processes such as turn‑in, disposal, and trade‑in.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Technology, Healthcare Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in equipment support, healthcare operations, or supply chain.
  • Strong communication and vendor‑coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service issues simultaneously.
  • Skilled in agreement administration and purchasing workflows.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of equipment service tickets from intake to closure.
  • Triage issues, prioritize appropriately, and escalate urgent cases to operations leadership and the service provider.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between operations and the equipment service provider.
  • Monitor SLA performance, vendor response times, and recurring issues.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and service activities with OEM vendors and service partners.
  • Manage delivery, installation scheduling, and operational coordination.
  • Coordinate equipment requisition and purchasing from request through approval.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories, warranty data, serial numbers, and service history.
  • Manage turn‑in, disposal, and trade‑in workflows.
  • Track residual values and trade‑in credits.
  • Maintain current service agreements, warranties, and PM contracts.
  • Route purchasing agreements for review and signature.
