This position is based in the Scranton, PA, campus. The MD Curriculum is an integrated, active learning-based curriculum built on the clinical presentation model and uses emerging neurobiological evidence on knowledge acquisition, skill development and wellness to shape a robust approach to medical school teaching and learning. The curriculum also features our Systems, Society, and Humanism in Medicine (SSHM) core, composed of longitudinal themes that are integrated throughout the curriculum meant to transform socially responsible students into socially accountable leaders in the healthcare system and their communities. In addition, Geisinger’s longstanding commitment to patient access and clinical excellence has been a driving force in shaping our approach to medical education. The GCSOM curriculum also provides a strong foundation in research offering a robust range of research opportunities including: a four-year Medical Research Honors Program, a Summer Research Immersion Program and other longitudinal research opportunities.
