About The Position
The Medical Dosimetrist is principally involved with the planning and quality assurance of radiation treatments to patients. The dosimetrist acts under the direction of the medical physicist and radiation oncologist.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related science
- ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy Technology or CMD registration
- eligibility for registration by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board
- Knowledge and familiarity with radiation oncology equipment and radioactive materials.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
- Previous experience as a dosimetrist in a clinical radiation oncology setting.
- Experience in operating personal computers including operation of computer software in a Windows environment.
