Operational/Departmental Performance: Oversight of Dispatch activities and associated policies and procedures. Responsible for the oversight of the scheduling, training, retention, and performance of personnel in Dispatch. Responsible for compliance initiatives related to areas of risk with 911 and non-emergent call taking. Reviews and acts upon, as necessary, all incidents, deviations, exceptions, and issues reported by Dispatch and/or Operations staff. Ensure compliance with the Principles of Emergency Medical Dispatch, MMR Quality Assurance, and Medical Priority Consultants for Accreditation as a Center of Excellence (ACE) and CAAS. Ensure that all Dispatch personnel are properly trained and obtain/maintain all required credentials. Attends assigned public official meetings to represent Dispatch. Facilitates positive relations between Dispatch and Road Staff. Creates, measures and monitors department performance standards.
