About The Position
Cedar Pet Clinic, a CareVet partner, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead our practice as Medical Director! Our Medical Directors spend 90+% of their time practicing medicine. Job Summary: The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered. About the Hospital: The Cedar Pet Clinic team has been proudly serving the Minneapolis and Lake Elmo community for almost 50 years. We were founded in Minneapolis in 1973 and we opened our Lake Elmo location in 1996. Requirements
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
- Experience with exotics
