About The Position

The Medical Director provides oversight to ensure quality, compliant, and effective medical care that supports the facility’s mission. This role oversees all medical staff, aligns medical operations with regulatory requirements and organizational policies, and serves as the primary liaison between Clinical, Compliance, and Operations to ensure smooth integration of medical decision-making with operational workflows.

Requirements

• Must be board certified or board eligible Psychiatrist
• Must be MD or DO
• Previous Medical Director experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and oversight for Medical Staff consisting of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with medical policies, systems, regulatory requirements, maintaining accountability for medical decision-making and standards of care
• Support in onboarding and orientation of new Nurse Practitioners.
• Lead monthly medical staff meetings and quarterly training, with additional sessions as needed for emerging clinical issues.
• Conduct biweekly case consultations focused on complex, high-risk, or escalated cases.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Clinical Departments to review audit findings, recommend corrective actions, and improve internal quality assurance process
• Support implementation of new policies, systems and process improvements within the Medical Department.
• Proactively Identify trends, patterns, and risks, provide recommendations for process and policy improvements
• Oversee and address client grievances related to medical care in coordination with Compliance department
