About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine seeks a full-time, board-certified in Adolescent Medicine (or board-eligible) Medical Director of Adolescent Medicine to lead the Adolescent Medicine Division at Boston Medical Center. Boston Medical Center (BMC) Pediatrics is a national leader in advancing health equity for children and families. The Adolescent Medicine Division at BMC serves adolescents and young adults (ages 14–26) through comprehensive primary care and integrated subspecialty programs delivered by an interdisciplinary team providing wraparound, developmentally informed care, collaboration. The Division provides primary care and several subspecialty programs, including a menstrual disorders program, an adolescent addiction program, among others.

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Director will maintain an active ambulatory practice and oversee care for adolescents and young adults with complex needs
  • recruit, mentor, and develop an interdisciplinary team that fosters belonging and continuous improvement
  • build integrated care with pediatrics, family medicine, psychiatry, OB/GYN, endocrinology, addiction medicine, and community partners
  • Works collaboratively and in partnership with Boston Public Health Commission leaders of School-Based Health Program (Director of SBHC, BH Director, Operations Director, Billing Director) on all clinical aspects of the program.

  • The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget.
