About The Position
We are seeking 1–2 experienced Medical Director Consultants to support a Virginia-based public sector healthcare engagement. The consultant will provide clinical oversight, regulatory guidance, and medical leadership for healthcare services delivered within secure and/or residential care settings.
Requirements
- Current, valid, and unrestricted Medical License in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Required)
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in leadership or Medical Director capacity
Nice To Haves
- Board certification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight and clinical leadership for healthcare operations
- Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations
- Review clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care standards
- Support policy development and implementation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including behavioral health and nursing staff
- Provide guidance on complex medical cases and risk management
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
