NaphCare is hiring a Medical Director to join our team of medical professionals in the Yuma - Arizona Department of Corrections in San Luis, Arizona. As a Correctional Medical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring all clinical needs are being met within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. The Medical Director is responsible for providing direct and indirect basic medical care to meet the physiological and emotional needs of the patients and ensuring quality care is provided to protect the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to: Conducting rounds in the medical and infirmary units Performing sick call visits, and managing chronic care Responding to and initiating care for medical emergencies Leading efforts to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services Coordinating, leading and participating in educational and training activities May supervise Staff Physicians and other medical staff Ensuring compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards Collaborating on with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients’ needs NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US and we are growing.
