About The Position

Shape the pace of life-changing products At Avalign, we design, engineer, and manufacture advanced medical devices that clinicians rely on every day. Our Greenwood, IN team is growing, and we’re adding an Assembly Coordinator to keep our production line staged, moving, and on-spec. We have openings for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts . A day in this role You start by checking the build list and ship list, then walk the line to confirm parts are staged correctly. You spot-check incoming components, reconcile counts in the Traverse system, and lay out work orders so assemblers can hit efficiency targets. Throughout the day, you inspect quality, update documentation, and collaborate with teammates—sometimes stepping in to train a new hire—so every order leaves on time and to spec. Your impact

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions
  • Solid math with units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets to determine set-ups and operations
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as part of the job
  • Self-starter, fast learner, reliable, team-oriented, and an effective communicator

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming parts; flag any damage or discrepancies
  • Sort, kit, and store inventory by blueprint, work order, and part number
  • Stage parts precisely for assembly based on customer orders and dispatch schedule
  • Safely move, lift, carry, and stack materials by hand or with material handling equipment
  • Log and track components through the Traverse system to keep records accurate
  • Provide timely shipping/receiving updates to the right departments
  • Inspect product quality and record results; edit final inspection paperwork
  • Maintain the build list, efficiencies, and ship list so work flows without bottlenecks
  • Assist with onboarding by helping train new team members as needed
