About The Position

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Customer Service – Central Support position. The Medical Customer Service Representatives on our Central Support Team is responsible for serving inbound phone traffic, and accurately process pre-qualification steps for new Intakes. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Good typing and 10-key skills
  • Accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications applicable to the position
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work with diverse clientele
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Manage large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide a solution
  • Follow call “scripts” when handling different topics
  • Keep records of all customer conversations in Norco’s electronic system in a comprehensible way
  • Meet personal qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Answer billing and other customer questions or direct customer to proper billing personnel
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use
  • Process customer orders and accurately input customer orders into the computer
  • Initiate and complete new intakes and assist in setting up new accounts where applicable
  • Route patient information to appropriate personnel/departments as necessary to order, deliver and bill medical products and services
  • Arranges necessary referral to community agencies or for those traveling, to assist in continuity of care
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or needed
