About The Position

As a Medical Credentialing Specialist, you’ll collaborate closely with providers and internal clinic teams to manage credentialing and enrollment processes. Your work directly supports operational readiness and Serenity’s mission of helping patients take back their lives. Important Note: This role supports a mental health organization. Exposure to sensitive topics such as trauma, PTSD, or suicidal ideation may occur and may be triggering for some individuals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of provider credentialing experience
  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency

Responsibilities

  • Process credentialing and recredentialing applications for new and existing providers
  • Collect, verify, and track all required primary source documentation
  • Maintain accurate credentialing files, databases, and progress reports
  • Monitor timelines and proactively resolve delays, missing items, or discrepancies
  • Prepare verification correspondence and support provider enrollment activities
  • Communicate regularly with providers and internal medical office teams
  • Assist with related administrative or billing support tasks as needed
