Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar role a plus but, not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of EHR preferred, but not required.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Team-player, strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress.
  • Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skills.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours and be and use a ladder to obtain files
  • Must be able to type and write legibly

Responsibilities

  • Distribute medical charts to the appropriate departments
  • File all patients' medical records and information
  • Complete clerical duties including answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Retrieving patient charts
  • Organizing charts according to the doctors schedules
  • Filing returned charts
  • Matching lab work, operative reports, and telephone messages with correct patient charts and delivering them to appropriate staff
