Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use computerized systems and experience with Electronic Medical Records systems.
  • Must be able to use sound judgment consistently.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be highly organized and comfortable providing excellent internal and external customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive phone and computer use.
  • Incoming phone calls triaging.
  • Patient appointment scheduling.
  • Patient registration through EMR/HER.
  • Patient checkout includes follow up testing scheduling and authorizations.
  • Processing of Radiology orders and obtaining authorization as requested by providers.
  • Processing of medication orders and obtaining authorization as requested by providers.
  • Review/entry of patient preferred pharmacy info.
  • Provider/patient liaison.
  • Review of incoming fax queue for pertinent patient items and processing as needed.
  • Processing disability forms, work notes, medical notes etc. as requested by patients.
  • Provider schedule management.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by Management and/or Providers.
  • Attends regular organizational meetings as requested.
