Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K-12 school, food services, 24/7 on-site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services. The Medical Care Coordinator works cooperatively with clinical, operations, medical, and administrative staff on the overall coordination of individual care in regard to their medical needs while in treatment. Job duties include: coordinating and transporting individuals to and from external medical appointments, communicating and documenting the medical needs for the individual back to the internal team, and working closely with Nursing and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care. The Medical Care Coordinator is a forward facing role, ensuring visitors feel welcome, their needs are met, and is responsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers. Other duties include answering phones, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages to the appropriate individuals in a timely fashion, providing coverage for other administrative roles as needed (program/department specific), and is supportive of people with diverse backgrounds, interacting with them in a way that ensures they feel safe and accepted.
