About The Position
A confidential healthcare billing organization is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist. This role is fast -paced and high -volume, requiring exceptional accuracy, claim resolution skills, and a thorough understanding of insurance processes and coding guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven success in claim resolution and follow -up
- MediClear Certification or equivalent HIPAA/privacy certification
- Strong knowledge of ICD -10 and medical billing procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding guidelines, and collection processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a high -volume environment and meet quotas
- EPIC experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Work aged accounts, verify insurance benefits, and resolve outstanding claims
- Review, correct, and resubmit denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Manage unpaid patient balances and follow medical collection best practices
- Apply accurate ICD -10 coding for diagnoses and procedures
- Process daily medical billing for services rendered by providers
- Handle refund requests and maintain compliance with billing and coding regulations
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure complete and accurate billing data
- Confirm insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when needed
