Medical Billing Specialist
About The Position
Friendship Village Retirement Community is looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist. As the Billing specialist you will: Update census information daily Ensure timely and accurate processing of resident and insurance billing. Following up on denied or unpaid claims, including appeals and resubmissions. Reconciling claims billing reports. Prepare therapy orders and obtain prior authorizations if required. Prepare weekly deposits. Answer resident billing questions. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Have an Associate's Degree in Medical Billing or 2 years of Medical Billing Experience.
- Exceptional computer skills, especially Office suites including excel.
- Must be self-driven, have outstanding organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Applicants are required to pass pre-employment screenings that could include: Criminal background checks, Abuse registry check, Drug test, Physical, and TB test
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Point Click Care or other Long Term Care resident systems is a plus.
