About The Position
The Medical Billing Specialist generates bills for patient stays, follows up on submitted claims for reimbursement, works denied claims and sets up payment plans with patients. The Billing Specialist will be scheduled 40 hours per week. This is NOT a remote position.
Requirements
- 6 months of Medical Billing Experience Required
- Good communication and relationship skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Highschool diploma or equivilant
- Must be available to wrok on site in Clive, Iowa.
Nice To Haves
- MS4 and Waystar Knowledge
- Cash posting knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret EOBs
- Claim denial management
- Ability to utilize Excel
Responsibilities
- Generates bills for patient stays
- Follows up on submitted claims for reimbursement
